This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and what choices you have. Automatically Collected Information — Analytics

This Site uses a privacy-first, self-hosted analytics system. When you visit the Site, our analytics script may record the following:

• Page views (which pages you visited and when)
• Scroll depth (how far down a page you scrolled)
• Click events (which links or buttons you clicked)
• Approximate geographic region (country or state level, derived from your IP address — the IP address itself is not stored)
• Browser type and device type (e.g., desktop, mobile)
• Referral source (how you arrived at the Site)

To recognize returning visitors without using cookies, our analytics system assigns a randomly generated visitor ID that is stored in your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage. This ID does not contain any personally identifiable information and is used only to distinguish sessions for aggregate reporting purposes.

AI Search Visibility — Harbor

This Site uses Harbor, a third-party service that helps our pages appear accurately in AI search engines and tells us which pages those engines send visitors to. A small Harbor script loads on every page of the Site. It does two things:

• It requests the page's optimized title, description, and structured data from Harbor using the page URL, and keeps a copy in your browser's localStorage for up to one hour so the request is not repeated on every visit.
• If you arrived at the Site from an AI search engine or assistant (for example ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, or Claude), it sends Harbor the page URL, the referring site, and the campaign source (utm_source) of that visit, once per browser session. Visits from other sources are not reported.

Harbor does not set cookies, does not collect your name, email, or IP address through this script, and does not track you across other websites. Harbor processes this data on our behalf; PTN Accounting LLC remains the data controller for visitors to this Site.

No Advertising Cookies or Ad Tracking

Other than Harbor, described above, we do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking or advertising scripts on this Site. We do not place cookies on your device for tracking or advertising purposes. Our analytics data stays with us and is not shared with any advertising networks or data brokers.

How We Use the Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to contact form inquiries
• Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
• Monitor Site performance and identify technical issues

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry or as required by applicable law. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form. We do not retain individual browsing histories long-term.

Your Choices

You can clear the analytics visitor ID and the Harbor page cache stored in your browser at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage through your browser settings. This will not affect your ability to use the Site.

Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
